Reward a Colleague

The Reward a Colleague program for 2018 has now closed. We will advertise the 2019 program when it launches in 2019.

IAATI’s Membership Committee is launching the “Reward a Colleague” initiative, which ran from January 1, 2018 through March 31, 2018.

As part of the initiative, all active members were encouraged to send an email to their colleagues inviting them to sign up for a complimentary trial membership in IAATI. When sending the email, the member should have copied in IAATI Executive Director John Abounader ( so that we could record who had nominated the potential new member.

As a valued member of IAATI, you most certainly recognize the value and benefits of belonging to a worldwide network of auto crime investigators. As such, this effort will not be successful without your assistance. For every non-member, referred by you who signs on for the free 2018 membership, you will be entered into a drawing for one of 10 free memberships yourself.

To minimize the effort on behalf of existing IAATI members, we have prepared a sample email for you to use. All you have to do is complete the recipients name and your name, then attach it to an email and send it. In doing so, don’t forget to include a copy to IAATI Executive Director John Abounader (

The “Reward a Colleague” sample email, poster and guidelines can be found here.

Scope of the “Limited Time Offer”
To receive the offer the nominated individual (i.e. prospective member) must:

1. Have never been a member of IAATI,
2. Be nominated by an existing IAATI member,
3. Complete and submit the normal membership application during the offer period, and
4. Undergo the normal membership approval process by their respective Branch/Chapter.

If approved by the appropriate Branch/Chapter the prospective member would be granted free ‘trial’ membership for a period of up to the end of the 2018 calendar year.
